We are ready for the very first edition of Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift

AG Insurance-NXTG is ready for the very first edition of Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift that starts on Sunday 24 July. Receiving a wildcard for this race is a huge opportunity for our team, which will be the youngest in the race. The Tour de France Femmes promises to be an iconic race with millions of spectators around the world.

Sports director Jolien D’hoore:

“First of all, the Tour the France is another important first experience for many of our riders. We will have the youngest team in the Tour de France and most of our riders have never participated in a stage rage for eight days with this level of difficulty and competition. This will be another important milestone in their development.

The entire team has only one ambition: becoming pro riders and competing at the highest level. I am very happy we are participating in this year’s Tour de France.

It is our firm ambition to always be competitive and ultimately win at WorldTour level.”

AG Insurance – NXTG, the world’s first UCI U23 women’s team, is a long-term project all about providing young, female riders with a professional set-up so they can realise their dreams of becoming professional cyclists. We are developing the next generation of female riders from the ground up, by offering them a growth path with the structure of an U19 team, an U23 team and – in the near future – a senior, Women’s WorldTour team.

We strongly believe that this structure and guidance is what it takes to further develop and promote women’s cycling, to attract new young female talents, to allow these young riders to successfully develop themselves and be able to compete with top riders in senior races.
